Military installations have had an increased requirement for maintenance services above the capabilities of uniformed personnel. This increase is a direct result of growing equipment usage in the Global War on Terror. To compound the problem, there is limited full-time maintenance support within the Reserve Component due to the mobilization of valuable maintenance personnel.
